the babysitter thing sounds extremely familiar, is it based on a real thing you told me about?

Yeah, the response guy is a composite of general pretentious internet dickishness, but the babysitting thing is an as close to verbatim as I could get from memory account of an actual Craigslist ad, including upping the pay to ten dollars. We were probably talking about ridiculous job stuff last time you were in town.
