I really did not succeed in differentiating Jack from me, here.

New Guys strip

Hey, I know, in a comic where I haven’t established the characters’ names yet, I’ma make a joke that is totally reliant on names that are not the character’s names! Yeah!

Anyway, Bob and Stan are not the names of the characters. The black-haired protagonist is Jack and the tall guy is Low, as established here. Haven’t decided on the other two. Thomas suggested Adam for the big guy, that’s a strong contender. Other guy I dunno. Maybe Tim?

Anyway, thanks so much all y’all for your comments on my comic and pitch and all that. I’ve written even more strips and I definitely want to give this project as much of a shot as I can. They are a ton, ton, ton of work to actually draw, though. I went out of my way to make sure the characters did not look generic. In my Semireal/Ass Happens comics, everyone has essentially the same shape head, similar bodies, same faces, just with a small number of features changed here and there. And I don’t want to do that! But drawing people I have not drawn a million times before and are more complicated means that updates may be quite late, as today’s is. I want to do a total of five or six comics with these guys, and then I’ll probably settle back in to the regular SemiReal for a while while I figure out what to do. In the meantime, enjoy this new stuff!

PS- I have not even begun to think of a name for this business yet.
