Turns out I might not drive a car back from Dallas at all after all, because my dad will be SO late that putting me up in a hotel for three days or moving my flight would mean that it would be cheaper just to have it shipped? I dunno what will happen as I write this, but by the time you read this, I will know. Unless things somehow miraculously go even more wrong, like 57 Chevy wrong. Now there is a tale indeed. I should do a comic of it some time.

#378- Hands pt. II

The best thing about Bitter Camel is that if someone else is being all Bitter Camel and you want to call them out on it, you can just do the first two steps and hold your arm out in front of them, and if they’re being honest they’ll complete it by bumping their clenched hand on your arm and reluctantly mumbling “Bitter. Camel.”

Blehhhh it is 6:41 AM yesterday as I write this. Drawrin’ hands is hard! They are complicated buggers. Also, a lot of the photoshop stuff I did to keep a consistent look between panels was so much work. I seriously did that just to keep up the sort of instructional, diagrammatic theme going on, it would have been a hundred times easier to just redraw stuff.

Also I like how although I was definitely going for an overly enthusiastic instructional format, like I dunno dance step instructions for white people from the 50s, the whole “bump tha hump” thing just raises all sorts of questions. Who even knows, man.

One more note: Since this comic took longer than I had hoped and the plans I have with my Dad to help him drive back from Dallas are going increasingly pear-shaped by the minute, Friday’s comic might be postponed. Please check back on Friday ’cause I’m going to do everything in my power to make it happen, but if it doesn’t you know why, and I’ll do a bonus update next week.

ahaha, bump tha hump. oh boy. I am super impressed with your hand drawing ability. I try to draw hands for logos all the time, and I always give up.

Thanks Sarah! Yeah, hands are hard. There’s still stuff in here I’m not super satisfied with, but hey, gotta do stuff to get better.
