#375- Getting the feel of things
Texture is something I’ve been really interested in recently, and I’ve been trying to use it in my comics some, mostly in some grass effects and stuff lately.
Since I want to do a book that has my road trip around Arizona with my dad has the centerpiece (as well as memoir prose stories, all centering around the idea of tourism in the more metaphorical and analytical, “hey I need something to do with my otherwise useless liberal-arts degree” vein), drawing a shit-ton of big-ass rock formations means getting good good good at texture.
On the other hand, the book deal I had all of my notes written down in (as well as a job lead) fell out of my pocket as I got out of my car a few nights ago, and proceeded to get rained on the whole next day, soooooo might not need to buff up on that stuff so much after all.

These are incredibly incredibly awesome. I can’t wait to see your long piece, I know it will be amazing. PS I think the waves are my favorite, you old Hokusai, you.
