Years from now, if I ever get a big readership, and if I ever start making money off of the comic and attend cons, if I encounter some readers with very good memories who recall panel three when they meet me they’ll be all like “man that’s not even the semi real.” Good thing there’s so many ifs in that statement!

I feel today’s comic could probably use some clarification: This dream did not actually happen, I wrote down the punchline and general idea for the comic, but later on I couldn’t remember how it started, so I decided it would be a dream, ’cause stuff doesn’t have to make sense in dreams.

Also: Ali said something recently to the effect of “look at you going all Kate Beaton style.” That comic wasn’t actually a Kate Beaton homage, but this one definitely is an homage to a strip of hers (Conveniently, the first on that page.)

Secondly, re: the whole Scarlett Johansson/Tom Waits aspect of this comic: Scarlett Johansson has just released a Tom Waits cover album, and if this song is any indication, it’s pretty atrocious.

So! Titties in the comic today. How ’bout that. I do what I want!
