#96-Edification vs. Entertainment

The purpose of this comic, as I see it, is two-fold: your edification about the goings-on of my life, and your general entertainment. Sometimes one gets sacrificed for the other.

That’s where the post comes in! Here comes your edification supplement: we bought this totally awesome sweet corn-bacon quiche at some small-town bakery (they grew the corn themselves), but didn’t have any way to heat it for dinner. So, taking a cue from their own parents, my parents wrapped the quiche in foil and placed it on the engine block, where it heated as we drove.

Now. I won’t say who, but somebody- somebody - just got back from Maine today with no less than 8 comics, the first of which is above. Seven of them, including #95, are about Maine and travelling to and from Maine. The 8th is about events preceding the trip and is a little more in key with the usual fare around here. Very in key, as a matter of fact, as you’ll see. It’ll be interrupting the Maine strips to serve as my 100th strip! Yay! That is a lot. If strips were pennies, I would soon have a dollar.
